  • Defense can not give up ice
  • Defense need to play tight gap

Finland Offensive Tactics On Clear:

  • 1 forward stays back in offensive zone to draw attention of defense
  • Finland passes to forward just at or over blue line
  • The tactic catches the defense giving up ice or standing still

  • If your beat on a pass, skate into passing lane 
  • Body in shooting lane, stick in passing lane 
Keys: 
  • All four players need to work together 
  • Once you press, you need to get possession of puck 
  • Off puck wing must cover the net 
  • Stops & starts when penalty killing
